Moses – a real blockbuster! The famous story of the liberation from slavery in Egypt has been told, sung about and filmed many times. For people of all times and generations, there is an incredible amount of hope in the life of Moses. In a spectacular way, he is surprisingly called by God to lead the Israelites to freedom. Moses, of all people, who had failed miserably as an Egyptian ex-prince. The big showdown begins: Who is more powerful, the unknown God or the great Pharaoh?
The Adonia team has written a moving new musical with 13 rousing songs that immediately catch the ear and the heart, and if you listen carefully, you will not only discover an old famous story, but also your own personal story. In 2025, 48 choirs will bring the new musical to the stage 192 times across Germany – including in Neumünster with over 70 young people.

The lights go out and the live band kicks off. At the same moment, 70 teenagers run through the center aisle of the concert hall, driven by the applause of the audience. The next 90 minutes fly by. Varied songs, humorous surprises and an old biblical story that is more relevant than ever: that seems to be the recipe for the teens’ choirs. The young performers inspire with their freshness, but also with their incredible talent. They rehearsed the program together in a very short time at the musical camp, which they practiced at home with the CD beforehand.
In 2025, 48 choirs will bring the new musical to the stage 192 times across Germany – and with over 70 young people in Neumünster too.

Host families wanted
In October, Adonia performs the musical ‘Mose – gerettet und befreit’ (Moses – rescued and liberated) in the theater of the Stadthalle Neumünster. The special thing about it: the teens rehearse the musical over four days and then go on a four-day concert tour. During the tour, the performers stay overnight in private accommodation.
We are therefore urgently looking for host families for the young people!
Who can accommodate two or more young people for one night? The participants have a sleeping bag with them, so they only need a mattress. The employees are happy to have a made-up bed, they do not have a sleeping bag with them.
The young people can be taken away directly after the concert (approx. 20:30 h), only the staff and the young people in the technical team need approx. 1.5 hours longer.
After breakfast the next morning, the guests make their way home.

How can you be there?
Around 70 teenagers (teen camps: 12-19 years) or children (junior camps: 9-12 years) register for a seven-day musical camp, which takes place during the school vacations. The first few days are spent rehearsing intensively in a leisure center under the guidance of a volunteer team, followed by the concerts. The teenagers have four performances, the juniors two.
Two months before the camp, the participants receive CDs and sheet music to practise independently at home. The live bands of the project choirs are also often made up of teenagers. The participants love the challenge and the great community. This is probably the main reason why most of them immediately sign up for next year’s camp and most musical camps are fully booked 11 months in advance.
