That’s why we were one of the first movements in Germany to go to schools back in 2002, offering youth work there and building a bridge to the churches. For us, spiritual action and preaching has always been expressed in projects that meet the concrete needs of young people. If someone is in need, then you have to help them in precisely this need. As the prophetic words of Isaiah put it: \u201cBreak bread for the hungry!\u201d But even more importantly: \u201cLet the hungry find your heart!\u201d (Isaiah 58) <\/p>\n

We have always developed new formats and used the opportunities of the time to our advantage. We celebrated one of the first techno parties in a community and entire classes from a school attended. We went to schools as youth workers when everyone was still saying it was impossible. Digital media and communication were our second skin even before corona. <\/p>\n

Among Roma in Albania<\/h2>\n

Pais Deutschland e.V. supports the work of Kisha Mozaik among Roma in Albania through personal cooperation and donations.<\/p>\n

In the new school year, we have helped to restart the afternoon school and are helping to make the community’s many projects among the Roma in Lushnje, Albania, possible, particularly through support with paperwork and fundraising.<\/p>\n

Since the fall of 2024, the community has hosted 4 volunteers from Germany for 7 months and we naturally support the community with all our know-how about volunteer services.<\/p>\n

Empowering young people<\/h2>\n

We have used the Strengths Sieve to coach over 1200 teenagers and young adults in countless school classes, youth groups and one-to-one meetings to discover their own personal strengths.<\/p>\n

And even though hardly anything can replace a personal conversation, we are currently working with Carico Coaching to develop a digital version of the strengths screen. So that we can also find a way to reach those who would never engage in a personal conversation or even go to a youth group. <\/p>\n

PAIS now has a new sponsor in Germany<\/h2>\n

Pais Deutschland e.V. has returned the sponsorship for the work of Pais in Germany and the secondment abroad to Pais Global (international headquarters of Pais) with effect from the 2023\/2024 school year. In future, the work of Pais in Germany, but also in Austria and Switzerland, will be managed under the name Pais DACH.
